How Technological changes affected industry workers in the 19th Century (timed)
How Technological changes affected industry workers in the 19th Century (timed) The 19th Century Industrial WorkerThe late 19th century was a time of great economic advancement in the United States. The United States was out-producing Europe, including Great Britain, France and Germany by overwhelming margins. This capitalist economic machine was powered by thousands of industrial workers. The atmosphere and working conditions that these industrial workers worked in were constantly changing. Technological changes resulted in different working conditions and sparked industrial workers to join labor unions.In the late 19th century, a change slowly occurred in the way in which products were manufactured. No longer were workers themselves making a complete individual product, but rather constructing a small portion of a product. For example, a worker would not build an entire car; instead he would merely put a windshield in. This resulted in monotonous working conditions. In addition to these tedious working conditions, the new automated machines offered a high inju ry risk to workers whose hands or feet might slip into a gear of some sort.English: American Federation of Labor charter for ...Both of these conditions combined with long work hours resulted in a repetitive, life-threatening job. While most eventually ended up quitting their jobs, others searched for a more drastic solution.These workers found their answer in labor unions. These groups of disgruntled workers could (in theory) have power over their employers by being able to organize strikes against their employers. However, in actuality, labor union strikes and protests were often unsuccessful and led to violence. Many times strike-breakers (scabs) were called in by employers to get around any negative economic effects that would normally be imposed upon strikers. So many new immigrants and those without jobs were moving to the city, however, so strikers were often quickly replaced by employers. While labor unions were generally regarded as unsuccessful they did revolutionized the industry. Small...

Pressing and Pressure
Pressing and Pressure Pressing and Pressure Pressing and Pressure By Mark Nichol Press and all the words containing it as a root, as well as a few disguised words from the same source word, pertain in some sense to applying force. This post lists many of the words stemming from the Latin verb premere, meaning ââ¬Å"coverâ⬠or ââ¬Å"hold fast,â⬠and its descendant pressare. Press itself means ââ¬Å"cluster,â⬠ââ¬Å"exert force,â⬠ââ¬Å"push forward,â⬠and ââ¬Å"squeeze out.â⬠As a noun, it refers to a device for applying force, including a printing press, from which influence the word came to describe the collective entity of print media (and later all journalistic media). In that sense, in such phrases as ââ¬Å"press conference,â⬠it also acquired adjectival form. It also applies to an approach to applying force, as in a defensive strategy in basketball such as the full-court press. A press is also a crowd or an acting of crowding together. Pressure is the application of force. As a verb, pressure means ââ¬Å"apply force,â⬠and the verb pressurize refers to injecting a gas into a container in a greater concentration than outside the container (or pertains to designing the container for that purpose). The adjectival form is pressurized, and the act is pressurization. (The corresponding antonymic forms are depressurize and so on.) The adjective ââ¬Å"high pressureâ⬠denotes a literal or figurative situation in which force is applied, often in the context of its effect on an individual, as when referring to a high-pressure job. Tension or pain resulting from such situations can be alleviated by acupressure, a therapeutic application of pressure to points of the body. (One form of acupressure, developed in Japan, is called shiatsu- literally, ââ¬Å"finger pressure.â⬠) To compress is to push against or together, or to reduce as if by doing so, and something compressed undergoes compression. As a noun, it describes a piece of cloth applied to a body part, especially an injured one, as treatment, or pertains to a device that compresses; an example of the latter might, alternatively, be called a compressor, such as a machine that compresses air to provide force for a tool. To reverse compression is to decompress. Depress, by contrast, means ââ¬Å"push down.â⬠By extension, word also came to apply to lowering someoneââ¬â¢s spirits or reducing value. The adjective for all senses is depressive, and depression describes an act of depressing or a physical alteration of a landform or an object that leaves one area or part lower than the rest; the word also has astronomical, mathematical, and meteorological senses. (The historical period of economic distress that lasted roughly throughout the 1930s throughout the world is called the Depression or the Great Depression.) Depressant is a synonym for sedative, and a medication intended to alleviate depression is an antidepressant. Express means ââ¬Å"expelâ⬠or ââ¬Å"push outâ⬠(hence the borrowed Italian word espresso, which refers to coffee brewed with steam pressure), but it also came to mean ââ¬Å"put into wordsâ⬠or ââ¬Å"represent.â⬠Something that can be expressed in the former senses is expressible, and the latter connotations are represented by the adjective expressive. (The antonyms are inexpressible and inexpressive.) The adverb expressly, however, means ââ¬Å"plainly.â⬠Something expressed is an expression, including an attitude or emotion signaled by the way oneââ¬â¢s face is shaped by movement of oneââ¬â¢s eyebrows, mouth, and so on. (Expressive also describes something that reveals attitudes and emotions.) Express itself came to be employed as an adjective meaning ââ¬Å"implied,â⬠and both as an adjective and adverb, it refers to a special condition or treatment; for example, an express train is one that travels directly from one station to another, bypassing intermediate stops. In this sense, the word also serves as a noun, as when sending a package by a rapid delivery method. A system of doing so is called an express, and the word used to apply to a messenger employed to deliver something quickly. An expressway, meanwhile, is a thoroughfare with a minimum of exits or intersections. Impress refers to having an emotional or physical effect or influence. Something that leaves a positive emotional impression because it is aesthetically pleasing or demonstrates achievement is impressive. An impression may be an effect or influence, an uncertain or unclear belief or idea, or an appearance or suggestion; the word also refers to an emotional or physical application, such as fixing a personality trait or stamping an object. (The use of press and impressment to refer to an act of forced labor or military service is unrelated; the source of these terms is the Latin verb praestare, meaning ââ¬Å"stand before.â⬠) To oppress is to push against, to repress is to push back, and to suppress is to push down; the adjectival forms add -ive, and actions are indicated with the inflection -ion. All three terms often pertain to using despotic force against people agitating for freedom or rights. Repress and suppress also apply to excluding emotions or thoughts from oneââ¬â¢s consciousness. Oppress may also apply to an emotional or spiritual burden. One who, because of a buoyant or determined personality, seemingly cannot be repressed is described as being irrepressible, and a suppressant is a drug that controls or prevents a reaction or state. Print (and imprint) are disguised relations of the press family, as is imprimatur; that word (New Latin for ââ¬Å"let it be printed) originally applied to a printing or publishing license authorized by the Catholic Church, and later referred to approval to do so in general and then, by extension, pertained to any type of approval or a mark of approval. The current state of coastal process research and the drivers for the Essay
The current state of coastal process research and the drivers for the future - Essay Example The coastal system is a large process that revolves anything in or around coastal areas. The coast is the part of the land adjoining or near the ocean. A coastline is properly, a line on a map indicating the disposition of a coast but the word is often used to refer to the coast itself. According to Carter " the definition of a coast is something being on, near or having to do with a coast". The beach is a large protion of this system. The beach can be defined as the zone above the water line at a shore of a body of water. A beach is discernible because of the accumulation of stone, sand and/or gravel that the tide or waves deposited. It is important to keep in mind that when referring to the coast it should be thought of as a very specific definitioncoast is a very specific efinition. When using the word coast it should only be used when it is applied to the part of an island or a continent that borders an ocean or its saltwater tributatires. (Carter 1988) There are different kinds of coasts that can be referred to. One of these is a pelagic coast. A pelagic coast is a coast which fronts the open ocean. A pelagic coast differs from a coat that I more sheltered such as in a gul or a bay. Do not confuse a coast with a shore. A shore refers to areas of the land which are connected to any large body of water. A shore includes oceans and is called a sea shore, and a shore can adjoin with a lake then it is called a lakeshore. When referring to a river it is is called a bank rather than a coast or a shore. . However, this discussion I concerned only with coastal systems. RECENT PAST &CURENT RESEARCH: Coastal systems are of interest throughout the world. New observation and coastal research centres are being implemented in the United Kingdom (UK) as well as all through the world. This is because there is great interest in the status of the coastal systems due to environmental reasons and because all there is to be known about the coastal process is now known. While there is a great deal of data, available, everyday researchers and scientists find new information that will help in the field of coastal systems science. The new centres and programs that are being installed throughout the world, as well as the ones that currently exist, are being implemented to supply the data and knowledge necessary to forecast physical, chemical and biological changes that occur in coastal and open-ocean ecosystems. (Gubbay 1990) Current research has advanced the instrumentation, communications and modelling capabilities for coastal systems research. These advances have led to the advancement in prediction systems for the coastal areas of the world. These prediction capabilities are important because if success the prediction system will be able to predict certain phenomena-or predict it more accurately. This coastal phenomenon includes flooding and coastal erosion, oxygen depletion due to eutrophication and other potentially harmful to the coastal systems phenomena. (Gubbay 1990) In 1998 a series of studies conducted by Coastal Research of Plymouth, UK revealed new information about open

Financl analysis of dareen company Research Paper
Financl analysis of dareen company - Research Paper Example Comparison using ratios over two financial years of Dareen Merchandizing and with industry would provide considerable insight regarding Dareen Merchandizing business performance. 1- PROFIT MARGIN FORMULA = NET INCOME à à SALES à (McLaney, 2009) A- RATIO: Ratio DM 2011 Industry 2011 DM 2010 Industry 2010 PROFIT MARGIN =219,030/815000 26.87% 26.00% =136,990/645,000 21.24% 22.00% B- COMMENT ON COMPANY PERFORMANCE AND INDUSTRY TREND 2011- PM-Favorable over industry 2010- PM- Favorable over industry Profit margin in the year 2011 has increased as compared to year 2010. Main reason driving this increase appears to increase in prices as well as sales of the product. Income statement shows sales increased from AED 645,000 in year 2010 to AED 815,000 in year 2011. Increase in price is also clued from comparatively minimal increase in cost goods sold than increase in sales. Increase in sales can be attributed to heavy advertising expenditure incurred from AED 2200 in year 2010 to AED 25000 in 2011. ... C- RECOMMENDATION Increase in sales without similar increase in cost refers that firm has strong control over cost components. However, this increase in sales has a push from high advertising expenditure and hence, firm has room for improvement in this respect. Control over advertising expenses has additional capacity to improve this profitability ratio. Moreover, control over utilities expenses that have increased almost near to double, can also improve net income which will ultimately improve DMââ¬â¢s profitability and will take it ahead of industry profitability margin. Control over these would give some room to decrease price (for instance, seasonal discounts etc) which will further increase sales and would promote profitability positively. 2- INVENTORY TURNOVER FORMULA = SALES à à INVENTORY à (McLaney, 2009) A- RATIO: Ratio DM 2011 Industry 2011 DM 2010 Industry 2010 INVENTORY TURNOVER 815,000/170,700 10.00X 645,000/32,470 9.00X 4.77X 19.86X B- COMMENT ON COMPANY PER FORMANCE AND INDUSTRY TREND 2011- IO- Unfavorable over industry 2010- IO- Favorable over industry Inventory turnover ratio of DM doesnââ¬â¢t reflect some healthy picture. In the year 2010 DM had a very minimal inventory in reference to the amount of sales. In the following year of 2011, the amount of retained inventory increased to large extent. It reflects that in both years company had inefficient inventory management. In the former year it must be constantly involved in the buying inventory every few day i.e. every 18 day (360/19.86) which resulted extra exercise, cost and time which could have been invested in other productive exercise. In the year 2011, firm purchased sizeable inventory each time in

Effective emerging leader Essay Example for Free
Effective emerging leader Essay It is very important for an effective emerging leader such as me, to become stronger in a stimulating, educationally-rich environment. To become great, a student leader must have many great examples of leadership, teaching and truth. The University of South Florida embodies all of these traits for me, and that is why this university appeals to me in every way. I have had the opportunity not only to practice leadership in middle school as the student body President, but also be the Relay for Life Captain for three years, Yearbook Club Editor, Cross Country Captain and senior Student Government President to finish my high school years. Another advantage I have is the fact that my Aunt Graduated from USF and my mother will be attending USFs School of Education in a couple of years. My Aunt has introduced me to the campus, and through her I have heard about the awesome opportunities and great times that await me. Leadership has always been the role I was meant to assume and effective degree-holding leaders are crucial in our fast paced, ever evolving world. I believe The University of South Florida will teach me how to become such a leader with its world class faculty and all the opportunities Greek life and volunteering affords. In conclusion, leadership traits I have learned from experience, mentors and teachers over the years will truly benefit my USF life and other USF Bulls as well! Whether it is through volunteer opportunities such as Relay for Life, or running for a position on the student Senate, I intend to be a very effective leader at the University of South Florida and leave an everlasting mark of greatness on its campus.

Simulation :: essays research papers
à à à à à In the excerpt from ââ¬Å"Biosphere Politicsâ⬠by Jeremy Rifkin. I found something very interesting. He states ââ¬Å"The separation of human beings from nature and the parallel detachment of human consciousness from the human body has transformed western man into an alien on his own planetâ⬠(Rifkin). If people could take trips to other places with out leaving the sanctity of there own home it would be an amazing experience. I also was amazed with Rifkins idea of downloading the human consciousness into a machine. If this is possible the human kind has found the fountain of youth. à à à à à I believe that it would be a great experience if a man could simply put a helmet on, and visit another place. This would enable a person to see the Grand Canyon, Pyramids in Egypt, and all the wonders of the world in the confines of his own home. This would be ingenious. I would enjoy trying that someday. I could see all the landmarks and fascinating things on the earth that I have dreamed of seeing and doing. à à à à à The idea that scientists could recreate the sense of smell and taste is imperative to this. Without this personââ¬â¢s mood attitude and feelings toward the experience is nothing but a television show. A subject could smell the ocean or fresh mountain air. This would surely enhance a mood. Electronic pulses would be transmitted into a persons mind make the experience better. This could also be an additive to the relief of pain. These scientific discoveries are advancements for the better of mankind. Rifkin also states ââ¬Å"scientists are creating prototypes of computing machines that can simulate aspects of realityâ⬠. This would make anything seem real to a person. These environments are called ââ¬Å"virtual realityâ⬠. I thought it was interesting when the author wrote about a robot mimicking the movements of a person in a virtual reality room. The robot would mimic every movement of the person in the room. All of these aspects propose a question th at every man should ask himself; ââ¬Å"Are these good thingsâ⬠. à à à à à The most outrageous idea in the entire excerpt was the thought of downloading human consciousness. This is the idea of living forever the ââ¬Å"Fountain of Youthâ⬠. This poses as a new body when the other one is old or even broken. I find it hard to explain the possibility of anyone living forever. This would make a whole new world.

Application of 2nd Law of Thermodynamics
Another industry related to the second law of thermodynamics is the air-conditioner. As the weather in this country, Malaysia is always hot and humid, air-conditioners are used to cool down the surrounding inside the house. In fact, the concept of air-conditioner is one of the applications of the second law of thermodynamics which stated that for any process occurring in a closed system, the entropy increases for an irreversible system and remains constant for a reversible system, but never decreases.An air-conditioner functioned by using a working fluid to transfer heat from the colder indoor air to the hotter outside air. So the indoor air will be cooled down to a favorable temperature for indoor activities. Second law of thermodynamics defines as theà entropy of an isolated system never decreases due to isolated systems spontaneously evolve towardsà thermodynamics equilibrium. Air conditioners apply it during its function. Air conditioners are made up of three main components which are evaporator, condenser and compressor.Evaporator located inside used to transfer heat from the indoor atmosphere to the working fluid. Condenser located outdoor will transfer heat from the working fluid to atmosphere outside and lastly compressor do works on the working fluid and provide additional thermal energy so that the total entropy of the system do not reduced. From the diagram above, it is clear to show how second law of thermodynamics apply on the process of air conditioners. At first, the working fluid arrives at the evaporator as aà warm and high pressure liquid and it passes through a constrictor which causes a large drop in pressure.It thus enters the evaporator as aà warm and low pressure liquid. Because of the low pressure, the working fluid changes its state from liquid to become a gas. Breaking the bonds between the particles requires some thermal energy. Therefore, the working fluid which is in gaseous state becomes quite cold which its temperature les s than indoor temperature. Then, heat begins to flow in from the room air with the help of the metal fins that decorates the evaporator. Next, the working fluid leaves the evaporator as aà cool and low pressure gas.It absorbed a lot of thermal energy from the inside air, leaving evaporator stay in low temperature. The compressor receives the low pressure gaseous working fluid, compresses it to a much higher density and sends it to the condenser. Then, the additional energy the working fluid get from the compressor is stored as thermal energy. Thus, the high pressure working fluid enters the condenser at a much higher temperature. Same with the evaporator, the condenser is decorated with metal fins.These fins help heat to flow from the hot working fluid to the outside air which has lower in temperature. Finally, the working fluid cools and condenses to a warm and high pressure liquid while the temperature atmosphere outside getting higher. To sum up, the second law of thermodynamic s indeed brings some impacts to this world in industrial aspects such as heat engines, internal combustion engines and air-conditioner. In fact, this law is also being researched for more usage in our future life.

Deception Point Page 110
Sexton had no idea what the man was talking about. The reporter handed him the photocopies. Sexton looked at the pages-and for a moment, his mind went totally blank. No words came. He was staring at unfamiliar photographs. Black-and-white images. Two people. Naked. Arms and legs intertwined. For an instant, Sexton had no idea what he was looking at. Then it registered. A cannonball to the gut. In horror, Sexton's head snapped up to the crowd. They were laughing now. Half of them were already phoning in the story to their news desks. Sexton felt a tap on his shoulder. In a daze, he wheeled. Rachel was standing there. ââ¬Å"We tried to stop you,â⬠she said. ââ¬Å"We gave you every chance.â⬠A woman stood beside her. Sexton was trembling as his eyes moved to the woman at Rachel's side. She was the reporter in the cashmere coat and mohair beret-the woman who had knocked over his envelopes. Sexton saw her face, and his blood turned to ice. Gabrielle's dark eyes seemed to bore right through him as she reached down and opened her coat to reveal a stack of white envelopes tucked neatly beneath her arm. 132 The Oval Office was dark, lit only by the soft glow of the brass lamp on President Herney's desk. Gabrielle Ashe held her chin high as she stood before the President. Outside the window behind him, dusk was gathering on the west lawn. ââ¬Å"I hear you're leaving us,â⬠Herney said, sounding disappointed. Gabrielle nodded. Although the President had graciously offered her indefinite sanctuary inside the White House away from the press, Gabrielle preferred not to ride out this particular storm by hiding out in the eye. She wanted to be as far away as possible. At least for a while. Herney gazed across his desk at her, looking impressed. ââ¬Å"The choice you made this morning, Gabrielleâ⬠¦ â⬠He paused, as if at a loss for words. His eyes were simple and clear-nothing compared to the deep, enigmatic pools that had once drawn Gabrielle to Sedgewick Sexton. And yet, even in the backdrop of this powerful place, Gabrielle saw true kindness in his gaze, an honor and dignity she would not soon forget. ââ¬Å"I did it for me, too,â⬠Gabrielle finally said. Herney nodded. ââ¬Å"I owe you my thanks all the same.â⬠He stood, motioning for her to follow him into the hall. ââ¬Å"I was actually hoping you'd stick around long enough that I could offer you a post on my budgeting staff.â⬠Gabrielle gave him a dubious look. ââ¬Å"Stop spending and start mending?â⬠He chuckled. ââ¬Å"Something like that.â⬠ââ¬Å"I think we both know, sir, that I'm more of a liability to you at the moment than an asset.â⬠Herney shrugged. ââ¬Å"Give it a few months. It will all blow over. Plenty of great men and women have endured similar situations and gone on to greatness.â⬠He winked. ââ¬Å"A few of them were even U.S. presidents.â⬠Gabrielle knew he was right. Unemployed for only hours, Gabrielle had already turned down two other job offers today-one from Yolanda Cole at ABC, and the other from St. Martin's Press, who had offered her an obscene advance if she would publish a tell-all biography. No thanks. As Gabrielle and the President moved down the hallway, Gabrielle thought of the pictures of herself that were now being splashed across televisions. The damage to the country could have been worse, she told herself. Much worse. Gabrielle, after going to ABC to retrieve the photos and borrow Yolanda Cole's press pass, had snuck back to Sexton's office to assemble the duplicate envelopes. While inside, she had also printed copies of the donation checks in Sexton's computer. After the confrontation at the Washington Monument, Gabrielle had handed copies of the checks to the dumbstruck Senator Sexton and made her demands. Give the President a chance to announce his meteorite mistake, or the rest of this data goes public too. Senator Sexton took one look at the stack of financial evidence, locked himself in his limousine, and drove off. He had not been heard from since. Now, as the President and Gabrielle arrived at the backstage door of the Briefing Room, Gabrielle could hear the waiting throngs beyond. For the second time in twenty-four hours, the world was assembled to hear a special presidential broadcast. ââ¬Å"What are you going to tell them?â⬠Gabrielle asked. Herney sighed, his expression remarkably calm. ââ¬Å"Over the years, I've learned one thing over and overâ⬠¦ â⬠He put a hand on her shoulder and smiled. ââ¬Å"There's just no substitute for the truth.â⬠Gabrielle was filled with an unexpected pride as she watched him stride toward the stage. Zach Herney was on his way to admit the biggest mistake of his life, and oddly, he had never looked more presidential. 133 When Rachel awoke, the room was dark. A clock glowed 10:14 P.M. The bed was not her own. For several moments, she lay motionless, wondering where she was. Slowly, it all started coming backâ⬠¦ the megaplumeâ⬠¦ this morning at the Washington Monumentâ⬠¦ the President's invitation to stay at the White House. I'm at the White House, Rachel realized. I slept here all day. The Coast Guard chopper, at the President's command, had transported an exhausted Michael Tolland, Corky Marlinson, and Rachel Sexton from the Washington Monument to the White House, where they had been fed a sumptuous breakfast, been seen to by doctors, and been offered any of the building's fourteen bedrooms in which to recuperate. All of them had accepted. Rachel could not believe she had slept this long. Turning on the television, she was stunned to see that President Herney had already completed his press conference. Rachel and the others had offered to stand beside him when he announced the meteorite disappointment to the world. We all made the mistake together. But Herney had insisted on shouldering the burden alone. ââ¬Å"Sadly,â⬠one political analyst on TV was saying, ââ¬Å"it seems NASA has discovered no signs of life from space after all. This marks the second time this decade that NASA has incorrectly classified a meteorite as showing signs of extraterrestrial life. This time, however, a number of highly respected civilians were also among those fooled.â⬠ââ¬Å"Normally,â⬠a second analyst chimed in, ââ¬Å"I would have to say that a deception of the magnitude the President described this evening would be devastating for his careerâ⬠¦ and yet, considering the developments this morning at the Washington Monument, I would have to say Zach Herney's chances of taking the presidency look better than ever.â⬠The first analyst nodded. ââ¬Å"So, no life in space, but no life in Senator Sexton's campaign either. And now, as new information surfaces suggesting deep financial troubles plaguing the senator-ââ¬Å" A knock on the door drew Rachel's attention. Michael, she hoped, quickly turning off the television. She hadn't seen him since breakfast. On their arrival at the White House, Rachel had wanted nothing more than to fall asleep in his arms. Although she could tell Michael felt the same, Corky had intervened, parking himself on Tolland's bed and exuberantly telling and retelling his story about urinating on himself and saving the day. Finally, utterly exhausted, Rachel and Tolland had given up, heading for separate bedrooms to sleep. Now, walking toward the door, Rachel checked herself in the mirror, amused to see how ridiculously she was dressed. All she had found to wear to bed was an old Penn State football jersey in the dresser. It draped down to her knees like a nightshirt. The knocking continued. Rachel opened the door, disappointed to see a female U.S. Secret Service agent. She was fit and cute, wearing a blue blazer. ââ¬Å"Ms. Sexton, the gentleman in the Lincoln Bedroom heard your television. He asked me to tell you that as long as you're already awakeâ⬠¦ â⬠She paused, arching her eyebrows, clearly no stranger to night games on the upper floors of the White House.

Having a story to write, most probably, you will want to skip this point but you should not do it. Thinking aboutà yourà story for several months, there is a high possibility you will miss something. As such, before you start creating you comic, make sure to understand what texts and visuals will be included in your comic and create the outline that will serve as the guideline for your work; Write down the script for your comic adhering to the industry standards. If you do not possess excellent writing skills and find it difficult to put your ideas into the paper, feel free to hire a professional writer, who will do it instead of you; How do you plan to publish your comic? Maybe you want to release it as the smartphone app? Or do you want it to be done in a simple PDF? It is up to you. Think carefully on your goals andà decideà which form to choose. Start Writing Your Comic! Want to understand how to make a webcomic? No matter if you are a beginner or an experienced comic writer, you will need to work in accordance with the common algorithm. Create a comic outline. Before you start, you need to know your protagonist and all the events you are going to present in your comic. Create an outline in which you will identify your main characters and the events happening with them. Your outline should not be too long but it should focus on the key aspects you are going to present in your comic. After all, your comic should tell the story with impressive twists, so you need to think of every detail to engage your audience. Write a script. Basically, you just need to extend your outline. Follow your outline point-by-point adding more details to the description of events. Also, writing a script requires following the rules mentioned below: Use no more than 35 words per page (more words will turn your comic into a short essay); The character speaking first should always appear on the left to help the reader understand the dialog; Do not start another scene on the same page. Each page should present a separate scene; Use the page turn to surprise your reader. Find a skilled artist. If you have good drawing skills, that is great. However, if you do not, you need to find a professional artist, who will understand your character and draw it following your requirements and recommendations. You may find a creative artist joining the groups on Facebook, LinkedIn, or Reedit. To achieve the expected outcome, make sure to spend some time interacting with your artist and explaining what you want to see. Take care of storyboarding and design. When you have found the artist, make sure he/she will be able to produce the layout that will match your script. Based on your notes, the artist should create an original piece that will not resemble other comics. We assure you that byà plagiarizing, you will never reach the desired outcome. Even if you have hired a skilled professional, you need to monitor their work thoroughly to make sure this person is working in the right direction. Do not be afraid to ask for a revision. After all, only you decide how your webcomic should look like. Be Patient! When deciding to turn your story into a great comic, you need to understand that this process may take much time.
